The rise of the Internet of Things and 'Manufacturing as a Service' means that manufacturers are relying on the cloud more than ever before. It was the perfect opportunity for Oracle to sell its cloud software solutions. Except Oracle didn't know many manufacturers and when manufacturers thought about software they didn't think of Oracle.
So Oracle teamed up with The Manufacturer magazine to invite them to an exclusive event which would explore the future of manufacturing – and how Oracle's software could be part of that future.
We created an event invitation which played up the scale of the changes in manufacturing – and hinted at the dangers of ignoring them.
